10:44PM - Relationship Between CNA Nurse and a Client

The most essential part of the nursing profession is to provide utmost care to the patient. As it is defined as stated in the Hildegard. Peplaus proposed interpersonal nursing theory of nursing defines the nurse client relationship briefly. In this theory as taught in CNA classes, it is stated that the interaction between nurse and the client enhances the relationship and thus, helps in taking care of the patient more effectively.

Moreover, this theory believes that serving a patient completely depends on the relationship between nurse and the patient. This relationship solely depends on the feelings, actions and on the thought process of each and every person. Apart from this, the relationship between nurse and the client in the profession of nursing also depends on several elements.

They are contract boundaries, Therapeutic nurse behaviours and Confidentiality. This is even categorized in phases on the basis of the relationship like orientation, resolution, relationship and working phases. Another most important aspect of nursing profession is considering the client perspectives.

Client perspective this again classified into two sides that is ”bright side” and “dark side”. The bright side of this relationship reflects the friendly relationship between nurses and their clients, who share their feelings as well. The dark side of the relationship is that there is no friendly bonding between the nurse and the patient. This could be a drastic situation, as it becomes a hitch in diagnosis of the patient. In that case, the profession has to be turned by manipulation and kind of seeking for attention.

Not only this, building and growing trust with the patient is another aspect of the profession of nursing. Through trust, patients could promote competence, comfort measures, competence and facility of information. The theory of the relationship between nurse and client can give an important outcome for the patients. Actually, no evidence is there to prove this theory, but it has come into existence due to practice.
